Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

While we do not accept insurance directly, you may want to contact your insurance company before scheduling. Here are some questions you can ask:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • Do you cover psychological, neuropsychological, and/or educational testing?
  • What is the coverage amount for an evaluation?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?
  • How do I request reimbursement?
  • How much will I be reimbursed if I pay out of pocket?

How long does an evaluation take?

A typical comprehensive evaluation takes about 6 hours, broken up across days. Some individuals need more time to test for various reasons, and that additional testing is included in the original fee if agreed upon beforehand.

Can testing be completed at my house?

No, we do not conduct evaluations in home.

When will I get my child’s results?

The testing process varies depending on the schedule chosen. We typical take from 4 to 6 weeks, start (first day of testing) to finish (report completed and/or school meeting). If needed in less than 4 weeks, there may be an additional charge depending on the time frame.

How do I share this information with my child’s school?

The report you are provided at the end of the process is yours to share with whoever you choose. In some cases, based on the evaluation done, we can come with you to your school to share the results with school administration and teachers to assist with developing appropriate learning plans.

Do you offer evaluations for college students or older adults?

Yes, we do testing for all ages. We can assist you with getting accommodations in college, as well as on all measures of formal testing. This includes but is not limited to: SATs, ACTs, AP classes, LSATs, MCATs, GREs, Bar exams, and USMLE Step exams, etc.
